Yes maybe use both at first but only to test and see which is making you money

In most cases I would recommend choosing ONLY Adsense over Amazon because Amazon pays peanuts.

However Adsense revenue will mainly depend on your niche.

I would recommend you to try adsence first to see how it works then the amazon.
Opt for whichever you see is more profitable.
Personally, Adsence works best.

Hope this helps

Go with Adsense! I make $1000/month with adsnse (Not a big amount though, but I put only a little effort for that). Just gave a try to Amazon last month and has given up at the end after realizing that making more adsense websites will bring more income instead of Amazon.

Nothing wrong with it.

Something to keep in mind, when somebody clicks on an adsense ad, they are leaving your site. You'll get you're $.25 or whatever for the click but that is it. If your primary site focus is selling products for a larger profit, those adsense ads could be working against you.

That doesn't mean don't do it, do some testing and figure out what works best for your site.

Personally I think it's best to figure out how you want to monetize a site and stick with it. Mixing and matching can work but sometimes your better off sticking with a single revenue source.

Synthesize me, And reboot, I need to start again, I need to make it different

Hi Frank,

Ideally test both of these and maybe even try an affiliate offer too.

Adsense is not the only way to make money from a site and as a matter of fact it can be the worst.

Here's an example.

Airsoft gun website

Tested Adsense for 9 months
Adsense revenue per month $9

Tested affiliate offer on same site
Affiliate revenue per month $300

Adsense doesn't work for every site, neither does Amazon or affiliate offers. Try them all and see which one generates the best conversion and profits from that.

Just throwing in my 2 cents :-)

This is the right decision. You have to figure out which one is best for you.

Do some experiment over the next month and decide which is best for you.

In my 6 weeks(!) experience I have 2 adsense sites and 1 Amazon site (using the Amazonian Profit Plan approach). All 3 sites are page 2 in Google for their terms. I've earned $25 from Amazon from just one order, so far the Google sites are at about $3.

You can read into that what you want. My fledgling view is that if your site is product specific and you can find a compelling affiliate product e.g. heavily discounted, unique or loads of positive reviews (as recommended in the Amazonian plan) then whilst your CTR vs adsense may be lower you're % of a single Amazon sale may be much higher.

In summary there isn't a one size fits all answer to your question. The only way to know for sure it to AB testing and see which works best.

Paul.

As usual, the answer is: it depends.

Why not do both? If they wanna click on an Adsense ad, let 'em click! If they wanna buy something, let 'em buy!

I think what you're seeing here is that it all depends. Some sites do better with Amazon, some better with Adsense, and some the combination of both is the best bet. I'm going to try my hand at Adsense shortly as well.
