I have a site that I have been working for a little bit. When I do a Google search for keyword X the site comes up with the existing correct description, right from the meta tag. I changed this description about a month ago. Now if I then search for keyword Y and find the site it now has the old description listed. If I look at the page from the cache link it shows the page was cached 1 day ago and in that cached code is the right description. Ok for 50 space bucks,... why is this and anything I can do about it? Kevin FYI you can only spend the space bucks in the movie. |

When Google finds the search term in your meta description, it shows the relevant snippet from your description. If it does not find it in the description, but but finds it elsewhere on the page, it shows that snippet instead, assuming it to be more relevant.
