Why would I want to show something off? Why don´t you just look at high ranking sites in Google´s search results? These sites are from somebody, probably not forum members, but nevertheless from people who made it there.

Not that I mean I have such a site.

What exactly are you asking? There is no doubt that there are people that occupy these positions in the serps. Do you want to know if there are forum members amongst them?

I never target very difficult keywords. I prefer to make more pages that are easier to conquer and also to spread my risk. So I will not lose everything overnight.

uhm..no...some of my sites are in "micro niches" and those keywords are worth gold.

Well said George. It's not all about ranking for high competition words. Boxing clever is often about ranking for less competitive terms that still get traffic, and doing that again and again.

Besides, I lot of high competition words have had a lot of years behind them, hundreds of thosuands of links and thousands of pages of content. Why compete against that? Not saying there is anything wrong with people trying, it just makes more sense to hit middle or bottom of the road... and still potentially profit from it in quite a big way.

Besides... internet marketing isn't about making money is it guys?... it's about having fun trying to make money ;-P Whatever the end result may be.

yes and no If i hadn't fun i wouldn't do it (seriously)...but sometimes i would like my landlord and other people pay with fun instead of money Too bad, they all want money ... ;/
