How to put Adsense to your website/blog?

Hi there

One of my friends had this blog where he used to post there once in a while. He tried having an adsense account to have ads so that he can earn through them as well. But his application had been rejected by Google. This was long back.

Now he has started a new blog last month and this time he is quite serious about it. He is posting there regularly and he wanted to have an adsense account. He has not yet applied to google for it. Two days back he called me and asked about how he should move ahead with this adsense thing. He wanted to do all the things in a proper way right from the beginning. As I do not have much idea about Adsense, I thought I should better ask this question to our Warrior Gurus here.

I need some suggestion on how one should start with adsense to make it a good deal and Google does not rejects the application.

- Do you need to have a niche blog only? or any blog in general can do for google?

- How will you be paid by Google?

- When should you apply to Google for an Adsense account?

And any other important info that you guys can share about Adsense will be a great help for me.

How did your friend get rejected in the first place? He may not be able to get back on.

I don't know.. may be its like he did not used to post there that regularly. And it was his personal blog.. just his poems and stuff he used to publish there. That was not a niche blog. Will there be any problem now ?
