Default Anybody having problems with programs that access G's data lately?

I use Aaron Wall's rank checker and Traffic travis quite often, but since yesterday they return no result at all for Google.

I also tried with my proxies, so I don't think it's because they blocked me or something.

Did anybody else experience this kind of problem? Is it something related to Google's API?

Thanks

Hi Sebas -

I'm sort of freaking out here. I always use Traffic Travis for my SEO Analysis. Today I was offered an updated version and I loaded it up.
Guess what? SEO Analysis doesn't work!

I have no idea what is going on.

I sent in a support ticket. I even uninstalled it and installed an older version, thinking that would help. Same result!

Let me know if you find out anything and I'll do the same, okay?

Lynne

Google I think are figuring out tools that send them automated queries. I think they've waged a war against these companies!

Thanks

I heard that they changed something when I did a thread on why I got an error from the search engine about my being a bot and sending automated queries. So maybe this is what they were doing. That really sucks if it is so as I have just figured Traffic Travis out and I kind of like it. O well, looks like I am always a day short and a dollar late.

I know James Jones from MNF has been working hard to keep ahead of Google but even this software sometimes has issues (even though I love it).

I think the day may come where we have to go back to the old fashioned Keyword tool!

DRAT!

Thanks

Google seem to make our job harder every day. I guess if Traffic travis doesn't work anymore, than it will be the same for Spyglass, Market samurai, ...

The end of those precious softwares? Can't be! Thousands make their living selling those softwares. Countless others rely on them heavily. You can't tell me Google just shut down all of those.

Any one also noticed that it as become almost impossible to use the Google keyword tool unless you have an AdWords account? The new version of the keyword tool that is. Not that I mind that much connecting to my account, but I don't necessarily want them to know about all my keyword research.

Anyway, I'm also wondering why I don't see threads popping up everywhere about those softwares not working anymore. If it where a generalized problem, everybody should be crying and setting their houses in fire, but yet it seems like a perfectly normal day in the IM world.

OK Guys.
I just heard from Traffic Travis.
Does anyone know of another free tool that does the same type of SEO analysis that Traffic Travis does? I know Market Samurai does it, but I haven't ponyed up the money for that yet.

Hi Lynne,

Thanks for your email.
I apologize for the inconvenience. There is an issue with SEO Analysis at this time and it has been forwarded to our technical team.
We will roll out a fix at the soonest possible time.
Please let me know if there is anything else.

Well at least they are working on it. That is good to hear. I have come to like Traffic Travis. Can't hardly beat it for the price.

Hi Guys,

The incorrect results on Traffic Travis are actually due to recent changes on Google's layout. Traffic Travis team is already aware of this issue and they're already working to fix the problem.

I'll keep you posted as soon as I've heard any news from them.

Hey Guys ,

The Traffic Travis development team has just released an update earlier today. This update fixes the errors on the Search Engine and SEO Analysis of the said application.

Yep, I got the same response from Traffic Travis. I'm wondering how long the fix is going to take?

SEO4Firefox stopped working for me. A few days back, I noticed a beta test Google with a HTTPS instead of http. SEO4Firefox did not work on that one. Now, just a few days later, it does not work on regular Google.

These automated query tools (Traffic Travis, Microniche finder) are against Google's TOS so at best they will work temporarily. At worst your internet connection IP address will get banned by Google permanently if you're not using proxies.

Hopefully Google will open up a more complete API
