Hey Everyone, I've been working on my latest project, which is in a very competitive niche. So far my SEO attempts haven't been too successful, but I'm staying positive. I recently wrote an article on Ezine which is now listed at the top of Google's 4th page for my keyword which has about 400,000 searches a month. I'm planning on writing another article with an SEO focus to top that one, but for now, will I see much traffic to my article on the 4th page of Google for a keyword searched 400,000 times a month? Thanks in advance. |

Highly unlikely. Ask yourself this will they be able to find the information in your article before they get to the first page. In my experience even the second page traffic drastically falls off and by the 4th it would be almost none. |

There was an interesting graph I saw from Chitika. It showed how often people click on a SERP item based on its rank. Position #1 gets clicked about 35% of the time, #2 gets about 22%, #3 gets about 12%, and it goes down from there. By the time you get position #6, you're only getting about 5%. By the time you get to position #11 (second page), your click rate is virtually zero.

1. Invest $1. Cut you backlinking by 50%+. Click here. Seduce Google. 2. Find tons of high-commission easy in less than a minute here. 3. War Room release on off-page SEO: Gege Robohop -"Incredible", say Warriors 4. Mindset matters. Look at my last year - nothing to do with IM. | ||

Yeah, of course your mileage will vary depending on the search. I was just going off of what Chitika was showing... you think they would have a pretty good idea. 35% seemed a bit low to me, but feasible. Here's a link to their chart, if that helps any. Think of it this way - how often do you dig down to page 4 when you search for something on Google? John |

Most people often never search pass page 1. O know I don't! So it's highly unlikely that you will get much search engine traffic there. You will however, still get traffic from ezine's article directory. btw, why not backlink your article to get it to page one where the bulk of the traffic is? |

If 400,000 are really searching it a month then of course you will get traffic, even if you are on page #4. I've seen articles that were on page 10+ of google but still getting 100 or so clicks a month, just because it has a lot of searchers.

Hey that's a great idea about the backlinking. I'll start on that right now...
