Default How many keyword phrases to optimize for on a page

Should you build one page for one keyword phrase? More? How many? Seems the copy would flow better if you did at least a few. I suppose this also relates to how many words you should have on a page. Does it matter?

I would say one page per keyword and then sprinkle some LSI keywords through out the entire page.

You can use several keyword phrases per page. I would recommend no more than 3 or 4 keyword phrases per page.

Using several keyword phrases will increase the amount of traffic you should receive from search engines for the web page because the page will appear for several keyword phrases.

The number of words on a page can affect how search engines evaluate the keyword phrases. You should try to have the keyword phrases used within the page text 5-6 times per 500 words of content and try to use the keyword phrases throughout the web page. At least once in the first 50 words and at least once in the last 50 words on the page, with the remaining number of times spread throughout the page.

When you write the text for a web page, write in a natural flow. Do not try to force the keyword phrases into the page content. ALways write for the readers of the web page not the search engines.

Each page should target a single keyword phrase (possibly 2 or 3 phrases if they are very similar). This means your title should generally have 1-3 phrases in them... Your h1 and h2 should target the same keyword phrase(s) as the title (or slight variations). The content should target the same keyword phrase(s) as the title or slight variations, but should DEFINITELY be written for users, not search engines.

I'm not saying you want each page to rank for only 1-3 keyword phrases. You get them to each rank for many keyword phrases by using the primary, secondary, and tertiary targeted phrases and many slight variations of those phrases as link text for inbound links to the page. Even though you're targeted 1-3 phrases, you should end up actually ranking for many close variations of those phrases.

Hi there-keep keyword density to no more than 5% also-free keyword density tools online to check. Try to use similar words also in the text which mean the same thing-spiders love this! Make sure your main keyword is early in the first paragraph and always have it in your last sentence if you can. Hope this helps
