What are the factors which determine the ranking for an article in Ezine's own database, i.e. someone types ''modern blue widgets'' - what determines the ranking of articles all with modern blue widgets in them? Thanks |

I think they use google custom search. I would guess it would be the same factors google use in there own search engine the only difference is that you are searching within the Ezine site. Correct me if im wrong anyone...... -Izzy |

Thanks so its the usual on-page (not on-site) factors, latent semantic indexing, title matching KW search etc....

I'm going against the grain here - but I could be totally wrong and probably am. They could rank them by most viewed?

it would be interesting to know whether the number of links from the 'similar articles' section at the bottom of each article page has any effect on this ranking. I would think that it does but I have not tested so cannot be certain. |
