I've heard a few people talk about the importance not only of the links in the resource box for Ezine articles, but the anchor text for those links. Can someone briefly explain this? I am a platinum member there, and I suspect I am not taking full advantage of that. Thanks! Ken |

Your anchor text is the part that get's highlighted to take the person to the next site. So anchor text is the text that you choose to take them there. Typically people will suggest you use your primary/secondary keywords for SEO purposes however it's good to mix it up by varying your anchor texts examples: buy content here click here! It looks more natural when you have varying anchor texts pointing back at your site instead of just one keyword spammed over and over. -Kon. |

Ken, if you are referring to the 4 total links EZA allows, you need to know that only 2 can be what they call "self-serving" link. Essentially, these would be your affiliate-related links routed through your Domain Name/site. The self-serving links should be in your Resource Box. You are permitted to have 2 other links within the body of the article but not in the first 3 paragraphs (I think). Anyway, you can find the full scoop at EZA under Editorial Guidelines. Then look at the "WEBSITE LINKS/URLS" section. Hope this helps. |

Well that sort of helps. What I was originally responding to was something PC Roger posted in another thread: "This will make it easier to achieve Platinum status (IMHO) and, more importantly, allows you to increase anchor text length from 3 to 5 words." That sounded significant but I wasn't aware of it, nor do I fully understand how to take full advantage of it. Thanks. Ken |

Hi Ken, In your case, I see you have a home recording studio business. In your text links at Ezine, you would want to use keywords such as "home recording studio", "record at home", and things of that nature to link to your site. This helps Google determine what your site is about, and eventually helps rank your site higher for those keywords you use as anchor text. Hope this makes sense! |

You use the article resource link to help get pages on your site ranked.' Not exactly sure what you are asking, but use that anchor text to your advantage. Publish a page on your own site, see where it ranks naturally, then start linkbuilding it to the top. If you achieve 20 or 30 front page rankings on choice keywords, and you know what youre doing, youll make decent money. |
