So, here is the plan... 1. Create a blog on Blogger 2. Make a post on the blog that has some stuff and then a list of all the back links I want indexed. 3. Post the link to that blogger blog post in my signature here. Is this a good enough strategy to get the back-links indexed? If if does not work, why does it not work? I mean, the GoogleBot crawls everything that it comes across right? Also, when checking if the links are indexed, I have to just see if I can find the page using google right? Or also if the page is cashed? Thanks Guys! |

I would say that if the blog itself is not getting much traffic, or is not popular through links, then the links on the blog won't help you all that much. I have tried this with only limited success. I say this often but it is worth repeating... Make sure you spend enough time "site building", not just "link building". Once you have a site that people find useful, it will start to grow, and the traffic you get there, even if small, will snowball given time. So make sure you look for that formula that gets people to like and return to your site.

Hi dvduval, This is not about my site. I am asking you if my back links will get indexed if do this. The blog I am using is some silly blog. It does not matter! Just want to know if the back links will get indexed. BTW, since I posted this yesterday, I have to report that Google still has not indexed my blogger blog. The "inurl:<part of blog url>" search comes up empty. Also, I have Pingoated the blog url with the links.....still nothing. Today will try an RSS feed I guess. How much time is this supposed to take? Thanks... |

Yes on theory it should work. However you have to grow you contents on your blogger and do some other stuff that makes the Google bots feel that you have a legitimate blog that is updated regularly that it will visit again and again.(don't underestimate Google)

This method will help your backlinks crawled. Indexing is different then crawling. Google will check your backlinks using some standards and if your backlinks pass the filter then they will be indexed. Some backlinks can be de-indexed again after indexing for some reasons. You are on right way. | |

I'm not to sure if that is the best way to get backlinks indexed. What I recommend you do is join socialadr and get some booking marking on the go, I've found it takes an average of 10-20 bookmarks to successfully index a website (assuming the site isn't just duplicated content). Plus it is far quicker than setting up a blogger blog once you've set up your accounts. Rob |

It should work and i have heard this method before for indexing backlinks. But open a new gmail account to do so.As when blogger or bots see such actions, they might identify it as a possible spam blog and delete that.Creating RSS is the most easiest option to index your backlinks although it may take some ore time.
