Default channels question

I have a set of blogs that I did NOT orginally create for adsense, but I've got them, they're in a niche and they did sell an ebook I wrote a few years back.

now I've got these and they're not making me any money so I decided to throw some adsense ads on em and see what happened.

The niche is addiction recovery, emotional abuse recovery... I'd blog on this for free cause it's a subject that's dear to me but I AM a marketer so...

I read a few posts in this forum, read some of the google provided help files and enlarged my ad box to the large rectangle.

for some reason the ads do not display on the sidebar (blogs are blogger blogs btw) so I have them between each post.

my question: I see channels, I've got channels set up for:
CDL truck driver blogs
Addiction recovery blogs
used farm equipment blogs (Frederick is rural, agricultural)

so... what now? is there a place within the blogger widget thingy to specify CDL truck drivers and not addiction stuff?

OR... is the client paying for the ad going to direct which of my blogs he/she wants to advertise on?

I'm confused and thanks
(damn I'm glad my Dad bought this membership 8 years ago... I'm still learning)

Default Re: channels question

David, I may not be able to answer all your questions because I have never put AdSense on a blog. But if I understand your question in part I can tell you this:

The channels are only names you give the ads.You can place them where ever you want. These are just so you can track your own ads.

As far as what shows up on your page...You can not control that. This is controled by what your page content is about. (Google determines this.)

I hope that helped a little
