One of my wordpress blogs Ive created about a year ago, is ranking quite well in google for the main keyword. However, the main keyword is not a buyers keyword, which means no conversions. I have considered changing the keywords but I am afraid it will hurt my rankings and I guess Ill have to do my on page optimisation all over again. Is there a way around this, any suggestions. |

You need to think the other way. Every visitor is a potential buyer. The no conversions is probably due to how you are selling. Without knowing the site, it's a difficult question. I would concentrate on enticing visitors to buy. There are subtle ways of doing this. Tweaking this may indeed actually expand on your keyword, not change the main one. Sell better, expand on keyword. If you can't come up with a plan, no shame in hiring someone to take a look. Since it is just one of your blogs, and it gets decent traffic, try and use it to funnel traffic as well. The last thing I would do is "change" the keyword. Paul |

I guess I will add more keywords, build more backlinks and try to rank for the new keywords as well which means more traffic. | |
