Ads / Adwords Approval Time Frame Question ???

Warriors,

I have 5 image ads in a new account of mine, within adwords.
It's been almost 2 hours and ads are still pending approval.
My tracking says Google has not yet even visited my landing
page.

1) How long do we need to wait for image ad approval?

2) Also how long till they start serving ads on my targeted sites?

Ha! My head went BOOM! Did you say a week? Really? Is that because of the way I set up my acct? It normally took 20-30 min a year ago. Please advise..

As a matter of routine image adds take longer to be approved than the standard text adds. I have in the past email them saying it was important that my adds be approved asap or I would lose the client. While they have never replied my adds did go live within an hour or two of that. Cheers, Kieron

There is no specific time. It might take a day or two or it might take a week. It depends on how many ads have to be reviewed and where you stand in the queue. Simple as that. Note that it appears no reviews are done on weekends. See Adwords Review Process.

I had a campaign that took two weeks to start. Turns out i had a problem with the billing information and a quick call would have solved the problem lol They are backed up though i know and it could take a few days.

June 16th, I submitted my image ads for approval. Still says "Pending Review" for this acct. Emailed them twice and no response. Just sent 3rd email. What is the deal with Google lately? Anyone having the same probs?
