Rockin google rank, sucking at yahoo...

Hey all,

I'm helping a friend with their site ranking.

They are ranking at #5 on the first page of google but only on the 5th or 6th PAGE of Yahoo... i don't get it... how can it be so drastically different?

Any ideas?

The reason it can be so drastically different is because Yahoo's algorithm is way different than Google's. That's one of the main reasons that Yahoo lost all its powers when Google came around. Simple answer is that Google provides way better search results.

Forget about Yahoo, it doesn't matter. The traffic from google is probably 10x higher than it would be from Yahoo. Why worry about Yahoo when you're doing well with the only search engine that matters?

That's just my input. I don't know anything about ranking on Yahoo and I doubt many people around here do either. Nobody devotes any attention to trying to rank on Yahoo. If it happens, it happens.

Your Yahoo rankings should soon follow and get to the 1st page

I am #1 on both Google and Yahoo for certain keyword. Google produced 651 visits for me for that keyword while Yahoo only provided me with 83. Aim for ranking in Google and Yahoo will slowly catch on to you.
Google > Yahoo and Bing combined

Same here. I currently rank nr. 2 for one keyword, nr. 4 for for other keyword at both Google and Bing. I also rank on first page for several other keywords. However I don't rank at Yahoo at all, except for phrase search and even those ranking are worthless = 500+.
