Hey all, Say I have a blog containing articles about widgets and a separate site selling widgets. The Blog contains links at the end of most of the posts to the sales site, plus some intext links + blogroll. Admittedly, most of the links coming from the blog are to the sales site. The sales site, on the other hand, does not link to the blog. Does the big G look at this negatively? I find that no matter how much I pump the SEO of the sales site it seems to consistently rank 1 spot below the blog (albeit both being on the first page). Thanks. h |

My guess is that it is a content issue rather than a linking issue. From the sounds of it you are probably adding more content to the blog than you are to the sales site and as we all know Google does like content. Richard |
