Default WWW v non-WWW & Wordpress and Google Sitemaps?

I have google sitemaps on my wordpress blog.

Originally the site url was like this "sitename.com"

"sitename.com/sitemap.xml" was the site map.

I submitted the url to Google under my webmaster's account.

They came back with this errors:

Paths don't match
We've detected that you submitted your Sitemap using a URL path that includes the www prefix (for instance, http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml). However, the URLs listed inside your Sitemap don't use the www prefix (for instance, http://example.com/myfile.htm).

This is a wordpress blog. Under the general settings for "WordPress address (URL)" and "Blog address (URL)" I use the www extension. So when you type in one of my sites as sitename.com it auto redirects to the www version.

Google doesn't see this. I'm not using the wordpress redirect plugin at the moment as I was thinking this was not necessary. Any suggestions? Thanks Matt

XML Sitemaps has a very handy "Rebuild sitemap" link right in the plugin itself that I initially missed. Once I hit that link it rebuilt the entire thing with the www. subdomain in it. Thanks for the tip. Matt
