Why is Google Adwords charging me so Much?

Why is Google charging me over a dollar per click on search? How can I lower my cost per click and tips and tricks? Thank you!

google is not charging you over $1 per click, you are electing to pay over $1 per click to google, adjust your max cpc.

You're probably targeting keywords with way too much competition. If that's the case, you'll probably need to do some more keyword research

I would build a larger inventory of long tail keywords.

Lower your CPC

Also, the key to paying less and ranking high is trying to improve your quality score. This will not happen overnight and until you have some history this will hopefully improve over time.

Just ensure that your keywords are in highly targeted AdGroups and your copy is also very targeted. Try and focus on improving your CTR all the time and over time you should see a decrease in your CPC.

Thats what Ive been doing and it seems to work fine.

Oh forgot to mention that your landing page is VITAL. Don't forget to ensure that it is also highly relevant to your offering. All these factors should help to bring your CPC down for highly competitive terms.

thank you guys.. how do I check my guality score? and how am I suppose to lower my bid and target keywords that are not buying keywords? Theres no point.. thank you!

It´s not Google. It´s the other advertisers who are willing to pay these high prices for top spots.

To compete you have to earn as much per visitor as they do.

You can lower down the default bid, target on display network & setup more keywords.
What's your bottom line per click?
