Default Should I be this impressed with these rankings...

I'm a complete newbie so am really hoping for some honest feedback here!

I spent about month researching IM. Realized very quickly that I could be researching forever. So....I picked a plan and decided to just jump in and learn as I went along. I ended up hiring someone to do my SEO as this is one of my areas of weakness. I gave him 12 sites 3 weeks ago to start with. As of the end of the third week, all but a couple are ranking on page one of Google!

I am ecstatic!!!!! Haven't made a flippin' penny yet but I'm still thrilled! This seems to be such a huge accomplishment in such a short period of time. With my SEO guy getting full credit....and me for hiring him!

So....kind of a weird question but.....should I be this ecstatic????? Is it as much of an accomplishment as I think it is? Or, is this normal activity for a new site?

Don't wory about bursting my bubble....I'm a big girl and will feel satisfied regardless. For me...this is an accomplishment.

What I'm trying to get a feel for is if this is the norm, faster than the norm or slower than the norm....okay that last one just might burst my bubble!

Thanks!

That depends... Are you getting traffic from those search engine results?

The traffic is solely from the search engine results.

It depends some sites get good ranking initially when it is first launch but there is a possibility of it slipping back in rankings later.

Additionally how much visitors are you getting from these rankings and how competitive are these rankings how many other search results are found.

You can also search google adword keyword and put your keyword in then try to find the monthly global searches.

All the Best glad to hear you're doing well; should be fairly exciting and fun moment. BTW just curious those 13 sites must cost a ton not to mention SEO work how much have you spent on those.

Another thing you can do is add google webmaster to your site to moniter the backlinks you're getting, terms ranking for as well as google analytic if you don't already have it. IMO it does help with tracking and analyzing. There is also backlinkwatch to find the current backlinks you have just incase you want to know what your SEO person is up to.

When you say that you are ranking on page 1 of Google, are they for the target keywords you were optimizing for? Or are they for some keywords that get zero searches in Google?

I'm a complete newbie to IM but not to business...I own two offline businesses.
I know my strengths and weaknesses and know what my goals are. I intend to educate myself in all the areas that I am weak....I currently am involved in a coaching program. I also know what my goals are and in order to achieve those goals I was going to need to pull together a team. I was very fortunate to find an amazing, affordable VA. In addition to the coaching, I have kept a couple of sites that I am working on just as my own personal training sites.

And no....it's not costing me a lot of money. There are some amazing resources available. I did alot of research and found resources that I needed and were within my budget.

Thanks for your input and suggestions. I currently only have Google Analytics on the sites.....I'm going to look in to the others you mentioned. I'm fortunate that my VA sends me a list everyday of everything he has done so I am able to check the backlinks.

Thanks.

They appear to be from the targeted keywords. I'm not in a very unique niche so there are tons of searches.

Its a start !

However its pretty easy to get to page 1 for some keywords, this maybe why you havent made any money, as there might not be any money in those keywords therefore little competition for them !

How many unique hits are you getting?
