Longtail Traffic + Adsense Income In Competitive Niche?

Hi guys just need some support here because I have a limiting mental block.

As of now I've been targeting low competitive niches and making money from mainly longtail traffic.

I want to try the opposite and try and get longtail traffic from a competitive niche like insurance...(a different niche though) where the clicks are like $5-10 each!

If I do the same thing as my low competition niches and write about 50 articles in a competitive niche and just do the basic submit EZA, social bookmarking, pinging etc, I should still get some decent long tail traffic coming to the site?

Yes, I'm doing this with an insurance keyword (peep my journal), I should be surprised when I get to first page because the Avg CPC is $12+. I anticipate $100/day from just this one website.

Awesome congrats! But are you getting lots of long tail traffic? Meaning are your pages that have little to no seo/backlinks done to them getting visited?

I just started so I'll let you know.

It has one 750 words unique article and the rest are scraped content from article directories using wp-robot.

I've tried targetting a few high paying niches in the finance sector. It's a nice niche to be in. However my earnings are neck and neck with my pages in other niches that get $0.30 clicks, but massive CTR and traffic.
