Default Google AdWords Account - Keep our standings when switching merchants

Our current AdWords company has had our account for 5 years.

We want to take another direction now, managing our AdWords in-house, but don't want to lose our standings with Google. The current company managing it is saying we are under "their main client account"? and aren't able to transfer the account.

We want to regain the Google AdWords account and history of purchasing since it will be the same website. Is this possible?

Thanks!

I think you have zero chance of doing that.

You have little option.

Keep the current company while building your own.
You need access to the campaigns, however, to really do it right.
You could then copy from one and plug into the other.
But realize that you are indeed starting over. Completely.
If you have no access to the campaign(s) as they stand now,
you are out of luck on that even. And you would only want to
do one or two at a time, leaving the rest to them.

Does the current company give you bang for the buck? You
could keep them. If they have taken your account and made
it one that has high ranking, it would then be a huge learning curve,
and take time to be up to the same level. You could ask for a
better deal.

But they really are holding all the cards no matter what. There
is no way of transferring over an account with the history.

If you are dead-set on canceling, you are starting from scratch.
5 years experimenting is a lot to give up.

? do you have your own adwords account and is this just under the mcc of the adwords company ? / can you log into your company account ?

then if so you need only disconnect these guys from your control panel, and your good to go.

if not which sounds a little funny they would still be able to export the campaign.

my guess is you do have an account and if so go into your my account and select access and flick the switch.

• - just chillin.
