I see a news for digitalpoint forum, a rival forum of Warriorforum, they had very good impression (about 1 billion per year) with Alexa Rank 180. I think their income must be more than 5 mil a year. They had Google AdSense share revenue and just get banned by Google AdSense with few days. blogs.digitalpoint.com/entry.php?b=192 I think because they do not care with warning of Google. What you think about this? Why they can not control their ads ? |

I've never considered them a rival to WF - I never go there. So I guess it doesn't make any difference to me. I never noticed and I would never have noticed that had even happened. |

Maybe advertisers are complaining about high number of clicks but poor conversions but why would Google care

| But the advertisers should realize their ads are in the IM industry being viewed mostly by webmaster and are going to have poor conversions anyway because of the niche. It's not DP's fault.

| Exactly. Also advertisers have control on where there ads show so if DP was giving them "bad conversions", they could of easily had that site blocked from having there ads shown.

If you read the post, he was banned from somebody using his Adsense ID on restricted sites, which can happen to anyone of us. Smells of foul play. Somebody must have been supremely pissed at DP. |

| Yeah that seems like ass-whipping territory to me. I would certainly be very angry if that happened to me.

Google couldn't just ditch someone because the conversion rate was too low, that'd be illegal because I don't think it's spelt out in their policies anywhere. On what that threshold would be.

It may be something to so with the fact they have a rev share system in place. Lots of people may be deliberately starting up threads and getting others to click on them or something. Just a shot in the dark in terms of what could happen. I used to be a regular poster there until i moved over here. They are completely different forums and wouldn't say they are rivals at all!

Actually, the info available about this ban is interesting. Someone registered 2-3 dozen gambling domains on May 16,2010 - and those are the sites cited in the ban. Funny thing is the sites are yahoo, etc feeds - and state copyright 2007 on all the sites though whois shows registration May 2010. Weird.

They quit rev sharing a while back. I find this in the blog strange: "We have used this whitelist for a long time (since we first heard about it), and none of these gambling related sites were on our whitelist." Do they have other gambling sites on their whitelist? Not sure what was meant by the above statement. It sounded as if they had to check to make sure these sites were not on there. Paul |

of relationship with google to even chance putting their adsense on the forum. It is filled with hate and a lot of BS. Does it rock? Sure, for quite a bit. But with any forum like that, you will breed haters. WF has chosen to quell a lot of hate and make money other ways. Another point about their blog post: They seemed rather matter-of-fact instead of pissed. There is probably a lot of info we don't know. Paul
