Default Links Cache Question

I just read an article and it made me think if this is really needed.

It says that you need to check your links' cache date and if your links are not longer being cached it is useless. So you have to build links to 'revive' it.

Is this for real? Thanks!

I was under the impression as long as the page is indexed, that is what matters the most... If a page is indexed, 9/10 it is cached too though.

Yes, that is what i thought too. But it says that there will be a time that some links will no longer be cached - and it will be useless already. Therefore, those need to be revived... Is really true?

Cache refers to Google saving the image just like how some big websites can cache.

As long as pages are indexed, I wouldnt worry too much, unless your rankings take a massive drop!

That's not true.

You can have a page indexed & it still might not be cached.

Most times Google cache is slower than your SERPs description, when trying to update.

Cached page will be appeared after some days for normal websites with average authority. So its not true. But for high authority websites, cached version will be appeared within some hours.

When I check out my site URL's 9/10 are.

It seems like you may spend too much time analysing your site rather then taking action.

To the OP, dont become anal about these things, just carry on link building to your site and adding content and you will eventually get ranked.

This is one area where pagerank can matter, and Matt Cutts has said even recently that sites get reindexed more often when the pagerank is higher.

Cache links are more important, check out Google's report on this. Indexed is good, but cache is better.
