I think there are no PR updates. What I know is, the PR updates are made quarterly and the 1st day of the month.

The update on July 21st was a small 'internal' update - there is a big update due any time now, maybee 1st August or something?

They do not have a timeline. BTW I have already had pone of my sites update last week.

I think this was just a small update, I didn't notice any of my domains change. A few sub pages jumped around though.

Perhaps Google has changed the way they update - not such a mass PR update on a quarterly basis any longer.

Got a pr3 On my sports niche site.

The rest of my site are pr0 or n/a so looks like there making there mind up have been constantly updating but to be honest i have been on google page for a while and have good traffic by updating all my seo work to the sites so for page rank im not really bothered at all but if it happens well

One of my sites got dished out a PR2 - When I checked Thursday last week, it was still N/A - so the update on that site must have taken place on the weekend. None of my other sites seem to have been updated.
Is there a spot I can check to see exactly what date that PR 2 was given to the site?

There is getting change in your external links in webmaster account because of new Google Caffine updation. While there is not any change in PR - Page Rank of website. On updation of PR, it takes 3-5 months duration.

@24sevencart - Google crawls my site at least once a day, and I get link updates regularly.. I'm over the 2000 mark (ie more than 200 backlinks to my site).. Not sure how this relates to PR though..

Who cares about PageRank anymore? I removed all the toolbars like half year ago and I noticed that I can get more work done not watching the PR all the day.

I'm more interested in position than PageRank. I've had sites with 0 pagerank in top positions when sites with much higher PR sat below. I believe PageRank is more useful for Google than for the site owner in most cases.

Bottom line: Don't worry over PageRank, keep your eye on your serps and do what you need to move up.

It basically boils down to...

1. Relevant backlinks from high PR sites (how many you need varies greatly depending on your page 1 competition)
2. Relevant content for your keyword phrase
3. On page SEO that maximizes your chance of dominating your niche

You want to maximize 2 & 3 so that you don't have to spend ALL your time on 1. For that, you need excellent niche research and a system. Then backlink where you need to. (Your PR will follow in time or it may not, what matters is that you are making $, not PR)
