I can see that there are a lot of attainable keywords in the market I'm currently selling in. By "attainable" I mean I'm pretty sure I can rank in the Top 10 of Google based on the relatively weak competition there. Since I sell my own products in that market, I've decided to start putting up "feeder" websites or blogs to my sales page using those keywords. Can anyone recommend a guide on what sort of website or blog I should design for this purpose? I have tons of content --- I just want to format it into a site that is designed to be Google and SEO-friendly. Thanks for any help or advice! |

Personally I feel that WP blogs will be more friendly for SEOs purposes even for a competitive niche.

Agreed, wordpress has become fairly SEO friendly unlike some other content management systems. Plus it is a breeze to setup and maintain.

For SEO purposes, does it matter what theme you use in WordPress? Or is it more about content?

I'd say wordpress. But whatever theme you choose, just compare it to ww3 standards, to ensure the best compliance.

For my case, I like to use WP as platform...I would normally choose any theme that specifies that it is SEO friendly (I like thematic theme, although the design is fairly simple). I definitely install the all in one seo pack and Goodle XML sitemap on all my WP site. Finally, the rest of the work will taken care by proper on-site SEO. One of my highest-ranking sites that is in a competitive market was built on WP too. Recently, many people build mini sales page by using WP too. In short, WP rocks! Hope it helps and I am not mumbling too much |
