January and working very hard on backlinks and on-page. For the last couple of months, I've been first page Google in positions 6-10 and I just couldn't seem to move up into the top 5. Checked again today and I'm now number 1 for two of the phrases and number 4 for the third! I had people from all over the country do a Google search on the key phrases to make sure everybody was seeing the same thing I'm seeing. Yep!, number 1, number 1, and number 4! And this is for an eCommerce site, too!

If you're thinking about giving up, don't! Keep on plugging!

Honestly, I don't pay any attention to PR at all. If you do everything else you should be doing, and you do it right, PR will take care of itself.

Just one question though, when you are doing a search in Google are you logged out from your account? I think there is a difference in your search results when you are logged out and logged in. You might want just to verify this.

I'm not logged in when I check. I've also had 25-30 people from different parts of the country check as well.

Congrats and this is I think a good reminder to people to be patient. I have the same problem. I don't see results for a few weeks then assume I'm just doing something {or everything} wrong.
