I think I just made PPC History, Adwords RANG ME UP unexpectedly.

Hello Warriors,

has anybody else had somebody from Adwords ring them for some strange reason? I just had somebody with a heavy Indian accent ring me up, I couldn't understand what the problem was though, other than he was from Adwords. :S

EDIT: it just occurred to me that I don't even use them :S must have an account I forgot about....

They were possibly trying to get you to actually use the account you opened with them i.e. give them money.

There are actually live people working in Adwords ? It's not just bots who read your question and reply with a generic answer???

Be careful. They may not necessarily be from adwords and just looking to get you to hand over personal details.

As I said, I dont use them, must have been about an old account I have forgotten about. Either way, they got no information out of me.

That does seem very strange. I have heard of them contacting by email but never calling someone out of the blue that did not contact them first.

Hey dude, be careful with this - sounds a bit dodgy. I work for a PPC company & we speak to Google all the time, however they have never called us for no real reason & I am not sure of this but I know that over here in the UK, the Google base we deal with is in Ireland not India. I'm pretty sure that if Google needed to get in touch with you in Oz it would have been from Oz. Could be someone trying to get some personal details?
