Default Ryan Deiss' Cherry Picker Software: Good? or Good Marketing?

I dl'ed a free copy of the Cherry Picker and I'm having a hard time seeing the value right away.

Anyone here get a chance to use it and see what the real value is? Or maybe it's just a simple program that is enforcing the law of reciprocity on those who do the download.

Your thoughts?

A little bit of both.

...I haven't played around with it too much yet but I think what Ryan was really trying to do is give people a tool that will give you the information you'd need to go out and grab from 4 different sources all in one spot.

Which is a great time saver.

The name is what made me download it though.

What do you use it for?
The Cherry Picker software is showing you the top 10-30 search engine results in Google so that you can compare their domain names, title tags, inbound links, and page ranks.

This information should allow you get a decent picture of how much work you need to do to get ranked highly yourself.

Yes, it is dumb.

I just upgraded mine because I had not used it in a long time. So then I had to go to his tutorial video to see how to use it again because it was not making sense.

It makes no sense to use without the linking info. So I trashed my upgrade and reloaded a backup.

Am I allowed to give it out? I do have an older copy I use on my Mac, the 1.0.3 vers. I can Skype it to anyone if they want it if it is allowed.

I recommend NOT to upgrade it too.

Great so nevermind reusing an old one. I just tried it and my old api-request key is not longer there and asking me for it again. But the link in the email I received from Ryan Deiss does not work anymore.

Without the api working it won't find the linking or ranking info.

Does anyone know how to get that?
