If I use the Google Keyword Tool when I am NOT signed into my google account, the search volume for my long tailed keyword phrase is less the 200 searches per month globally. However, when I AM signed into my google account, this same long tailed keyword phrase I am targeting shows a global monthly search volume of 550,000 This is a huge difference! How am I supposed to determine what search volume is correct? Anyone else ever have trouble like this using google keyword tool? Please help me ASAP! |

(This is all for global monthly search volume) When I am signed into my Google account: Broad = 550,000 Exact = 46 Phrase = 91 When I'm not signed into my Google account: Broad = 140 Exact = 140 Phrase = 140 So what does all this mean? Basically what I am trying to do is find strong keywords to promote CPA offers using PPC. Obviously I am new to this though. What does Broad, Exact, and Phrase mean? What would I want to use?

there are more options when you are signed into google, google wants people to sign up so they give you less options when you are not signed in the results are the same you just have more options when you are signed in

I am seeing the complete opposite of what you are saying. Weather I am signed in or not, all the options are the same. I can change the categories, everything in the "contains" box, the "match" types, and even all the advanced options. Its the results that are changing when I am signed in or signed out! In particular, the search volume.

Thanks for the links. I understand now what the terms "Broad" "Phrase" and "Exact" mean, and how this would affect my campaign. So if you say it's best not to use google keyword tool for researching targeted keywords, then what would you suggest as a free alternative?
