My website's homepage disappeared from Google!

Hi! I need SEO experts here. I have a website Bohol Rent A Car that used to rank top in Google for the keywords "Bohol rent a car". I just found out that the homepage is no longer listed in Google. However, other pages are still listed. I am at a loss to what happened. Please help.

You can do a quick test. Just select a little text from your homepage and do a search at Google using "xx". If it shows up this means your page is not deindexed. If you still cannot find your homepage, you could have been sandboxed, if your site is new i.e. less than 6 months old.

I did that and the text on the index page didn't show up on Google! The site has been online for more than a year. What is "sandboxed"?

Do a site:www.yourdomain.com and see if the pages are indexed. and also the "XX" test. This is to find if your site had been de-indexed. Has there been a change in PR of your domain...i mean gone down? from something to N/A or gray bar ?

These are signs of being de-indexed.

Though, if the signs are all -ve then it means that your site is going through a "google dance"

Continue to build links..article submission / social bookmarking / and posting to web 2.0 properties...you site should come back.

Did it come back for you then?! I'm in the same boat now.. homepage has disappeared from google results for 12 days now.. i read on another warrior forum thread of somebody who's page disappeared for 5 weeks but came back...

I had a 403 crawl error coming from a problem with wordpress sitemap generator so i removed the sitemap, and i just started renting links literally the week i dissapeared so hopefully it's not because of that

I'l post back here when something happens either way, as i'm sure somebody else is going to face the same problem and end up here.
