Desperately need SEO help with a new Wordpress Site

I've been setting up some Wordpress sites on various domains and starting to drive traffic to them. Nothing earth shattering but I have managed to get a decent amount of traffic and start building lists to each one...except for one!

I set this site up with what I thought was an excellent new theme, started writing content and submitting articles. I've bookmarked it at Digg, Stumbleupon, Propeller, etc. Hell, I even went to my google webmaster account and validated it!

But still no traffic? Not one visitor! I checked it with SEO book's spider simulator and it looked okay but when I try link:mysite or site:mysite it doesn't show up.

I know a lot of you here have tools that I don't have so if somebody could take a look at it and tell me what the hell is wrong?

Your site isn't indexed and needs quality links.

Here's something you can try. Go to my blog, linked in my sig, and leave 3 good, on-topic, comments on the posts of your choice using the anchor text "Making Biodiesel Fuel". Mention that you're Steve from Warrior Forum in the comment. That will get you on my Top Commentators list and a PR4 link from a site that gets spidered frequently.

What kind of traffic are you seeing. I just started a site and interested how you are doing after a few days/weeks of articel submissions etc.

Take your site's URL as well as RSS feed url and head over to Pingler.com
Ping your site twice a day.

You'll get indexed pretty fast.

BgMacaw- Thanks, I'll do that. I'm interested in several of the items over there anyway.

CashDoctor- I've had excellent success with some articles at EZA, almost a 40% average clickthru. I'm only getting around 20-30 visits/daily on each of the blogs/sites but they're interrelated so that's actually good.

I've only recently started using other article sites so the jury is still out on those. At least they will be PR4 links.

I can't emphasize the importance of an opt-in form as one of the first things you set up on your blog/site, one of the sites is getting over 30% sign-ups since I put the opt-in "in their face" and it hasn't hurt my bounce rate at all.

We are in the same boat I am getting 20-30 hits per day to my landing page. I have only recently started a wordpress blog to play around with it.

My opt in rate is about 20-25% and am looking for better. I need to get more articles up on EZA I will do that. But I want that content on my website not on Ezine I want to build my sites PR and SEO. Still battling this out trying to find the perfect startegy. Here is what I have conjured up.

1) Submit article to Ezine. One link to landing page and one link to blog (all on same domain). Article optimized for one longtail keyword.

2) Wait until its approved. Rewrite at least 30% of article and post on blog.
3) Rewrite the articel 5 more times and submit to the next best 5 article directories.

How does that look folks. I want to maximize my content (naturally). I do want to build my domain into an authority site with lots of content as well. And want my page to rank for keywords and not just the articles. Articles at the begining is cool but hoping to find a way to see my article ranked and then leverage it to getting the page on my site optimzed for those keywords ranked.

I also need to figure out more on link building. I am green on what people do to build backlinks. I need to study that more.

Working On a high class video opt in page as well. Hope that bumps me up from 20% opt-in to 50 or so that would be awesome.

Hi Ouroboros,

You are using iframes in a couple places and this makes parts of your page not indexable by most search engines. I see unrelated links in the footer that are taboo topics for Google's index, these may be hurting you.
