Default Question about YSM

I understand adwords display network(adsense) and how it works, and what it is....but i CANNOT find out exactly what ysm's content network is...i understand its on relevant websites but is it really?? im looking around in yahoo search engine at random websites and i cannot even find any sponsored ads on any websites...so what is the content network and where exactly does the traffic come from? thanks

They do exist but not in as large numbers as Google. The reason should be obvious: Google is the leader in anything to do with search engines. That's where people go and they have branded themselves very well. So it's only natural for site owners to do the same as well as advertisers.

You could say the same thing for Google. Here's my take on this.

Even Google seems to have some difficulty so I assume Yahoo would too, also assuming that Google are best at this sort of thing. The problem is two-fold. First, the complexity of designing software to look at your keywords and determining a theme. That's what they do: determine the theme of your keywords and finding a same themed site to display the ads. If your keywords are tightly grouped, that should help (that's what they want and how the software is designed). But the second part is that many advertisers don't have tightly themed groups. Also, it may be difficult to determine the theme of a web page. Think of that complexity. So the software does the best it can. This can result in showing ads on less relevant or irrelevant sites.

Yahoo closed the Content Network a few months ago.
