Default How to move WP blog to ROOT of domain and does this affect current Google ranking?

Hi

I have WP installed in mydomain_dot_com/KEYWORD1 sub-directory.

I currently have an index.html in the ROOT.
This page currently displays in Google

This page is some kind of "Underconstruction page"

This page is SEO wise very bad!

I would like Google to display the header and description
of the WP blog instead of the header and description of the index.html

This site already ranks in Google for a variaty of keywords.

So I guess I have two options:

Option1:
=====
Get rid of sub-directory KEYWORD1
how can this be done?
What are the implications for already listed keywords in Google?

Option2:
=====
Re-direct mydomain_dot_com to mydomain_dot_com/KEYWORD1
How can this be done best? in Cpanel or on-page with auto-redirect
and
How do I get rid of the current listing in Google of
mydomain_dot_com/index.html (underconstruction)

I would prefer Option1 !!!!

Could anyone help me out on this?
