What is the average percentage of site visits from search engines ?

Recently i saw this graph on alexa and for one of my site and i just wish to find out what must have triggered this.

What and where should i check to find out what caused the line to go up.

My stats doesnt really tell me alot.

Note : The site is NOT new.

This number can vary widely, but is sometimes a sign of the health of the marketing campaign.
1. If you are getting less than 10% from search on a low traffic site, most likely you are in a penalty or not ranking very well.
2. If you are getting 80%+ from search you may have a high bounce rate

Each case has to be looked at individually though.

PHP Link Directory Script - a great addition to ANY website and much more than just a directory.

I receive around 90-95% of the traffic strictly from SE, and more than 90% of that is Google. Bounce rate is quite low regardless of all sites beeing 1-page-sites.

But that was my goal from the begining. Free targeted traffic. The higher the SE % the better if you ask me.
