I'm getting top rankings and A LOT of traffic from one KW that isn't even on my hubpage title. I want to add this KW to my title in order to rank better for it. Will it affect my rankings negatively. Does this have any negative effects? Thank you. Ricardo |

Yes, it may affect your rankings negatively. For example, if your articles are full of keywords, then Google may regard it as spams and then this Hugepage webpages may get punished obviously.

The title tag is an important factor for ranking. If you change this, you will probably end up hurting your ranking for the keywords that are currently doing well.

If you didn't originally optimize for that keyword but are still getting a lot of traffic for it, why not create another page with that keyword in the title that is more tightly targeted to it. Link to that page from your current page to give it a little juice. You could end up with a couple pages high in the SERPs.
