Default goarticles & ezine backlinks

why are these links so powerful?

is it because of the pagerank?

The video did not load. Can you briefly post why you think they are not powerful? Or maybe you feel they are "effective" but not powerful.

I use them both so I'm a bit concerned.

Thanks.

This is my hypothesis, which may or may not be correct.

Ezinearticles are powerful because every article that gets approved there is reviewed by humans. Total BS will never get approved in ezinearticles.com.

So if someone is knowledgeable enough to write good articles for ezinearticles.com, google thinks that his website is probably also fine.

Ezine articles and goarticles are powerful because they are relevant backlinks in your niche from high PR sites. From experience I find that outside of real links from related sites, they are the best form of back link.

I have always had good experience with those two article directories in attaining relevant back links.
The reason why they are "powerful"; or at least more powerful than a lot of other article directories is because of their high PR. Obviously, the PR of the domain does not get passed down to you through your article, but it tends to allow the articles to rank higher initially than other article directories which in turn gives your articles greater exposure and a greater chance of being syndicated.

You're right that the articles on ezine are in most case more or less good articles, but as many other people you just think google is more intelligent as it is. They have general algorithms which are genious, but im pretty sure that they don't use single sites as ezine as an ranking factor. It's what these sites offer as general ranking factors like high PR, tons of traffic to republish your article, good interlinking structure etc.

Agreed. It is actually a good idea to write an article around your keyword if you are not on page 1 and if you are any good your article will be once accepted.

Also Ezine Articles and Goarticles are good because their categories are relevant, and do not allow spammers. You cannot submit articles over a certain KW density on Ezine.
But you don't need to. They will rank high anyway.

This is not PR but the popularity of these 2 article submission sites. Most specifically saying Google gives more importance to links getting from these 2 sites because it's impossible to get a spam link from these sites.

Have you actually done any testing that shows that the absence of backlinks from ezine has any really negative effect, compared to sites that have ezine backlinks?

My guess, and its only a guess, is that you won't find any significant difference. Ezine used to be a great link to have but I suspect G knows its filled with articles from marketers and therefore, they have devalued those link to some extent.

Just my humble opinion.

Thank you very much for the clarification I was wondering that How PR can Help us because only the Domain name of these directories have High PR but not the URL of our article

Using Ezine alone is generally enough to get your sites ranked on the first page of google. It might take more than one article to get there, but you shouldn't need to submit to other article directories unless you get better results that way.

I think it depends on the competition. If you use keyword with high competition, i don't think ezine alone is enough. There are many article directories out there, why shouldn't u try. If ur article is approved in ezine i think it will be approved with the other article directories.

Is it better to post on a variety of article sites? It seems like google lumps links from one site together...

I like the combination of the two, Goarticles is instant submission while ezine takes some time to get published. If you use both of them you don't have to wait for people to see your stuff.
