High Page rank Links Vs a bunch of links.. I need Help

Question... Im doing some seo for one of my money sites.. I have a list of 2k plus book marking sites and over 500 article directorie and thousands of fourms.. all dofollow etc... Now I tried and expirement.. I build a wordpress blog and than build it to a page rank of 4... Placed a link with the anchor im going after in the blog roll.. Now I could of easly used book marking demon to post my anchor to 100's of dofollow bookmarking sites...

For ranking,, am i better off building mini sites and building the page rank to lets say 3 or 4 than placing a link on the blog..???? Or should I try to get as many low page rank links as possible.. i dont know if that makes sense,, maybe this does... lets say a site has 1k pr 0 links for a keyword.. And my site has 20 pr 4 links for the same keyword...Who who would rank higher in google , assuming on page meta and basic seo is the same.????

The higher the PR your link is on, the better value. But, do a mixture: acquire some links from higher PR pages, and mix in some from lower PR & no PR.

It is more beneficial to get back links from high PR sites. But SEs might penalize if you have backlink from high PR sites only. So i suggest you to do a mix and get backlinks from both high pr and low pr sites.
