Great (IMHO) blog, low CTR

Could you guys take a look at www amobi dot com and give me feedback on this blog.

I think that the ads are blended in properly but the CTR is really low.

Looking for a fresh set of eyes.. I have been looking at this &^&% for too long..

I am certainly no expert but here is my two cents... The page is very nice on the eyes and has interesting content. I just noticed when I went on it that I had to go back and double check that there are ads there. I see a bunch of adsense ads, but I did have to re-look. I would suggest putting ads at the top of the page somewhere so they stick out for the first time visitor..

I won't say too much about the ad placement cos I'm not experienced enough to pass judgment, although IMO they are well placed, not sure why you've got a low ctr.

what i will say is that the page in general looks excellent, very professional!

I think your blog is very good indeed - how low is your click thru rate.

One question comes to mind. Is the purpose of your blog to earn money from adsense or is this a secondary strategy?

Can't tell you how low (Adsense TOS) but really low.

Purpose of the blog is primarily self expression but I believe it's a profitable niche as well..

Hi Ammalgam,

IT related sites are notorious for low CTR. IT people rarely click ads and this has been well documented.

You can sometimes get decent earnings when you target very specific niches within the IT industry. i.e. data recovery or refurbished access routers.
