Hi marketguy,

Don't tell anyone but I've noticed that some Warriors rely on others to find the High
Ranking PR sites.

Here is a way you can find one way useful High Ranking PR site links in your own niche.

Let's say that you would like to find educational (.edu) sites to place backlinks on.

Here is how I do it. First I'll show you the search query I use and then I'll explain what
each part of it means and why they are needed.

My search query:
site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” "internet marketing"

This is what I would type into the Google search box.
Now what does it all mean?

site:.edu tells G that I only want urls ending with .edu

Inurl:blog tells G that I only want sites that have the word blog included
in the actual site url.

"post a comment" tells G to only return results that have post a
comment in the listing.

-"comments closed" tells G to exclude any results that contain the
phrase comments closed. This weeds out the blogs that no longer allows
comments to be added.

-”you must be logged in” tells G not to include results that require me to
be logged in in order to reply to a post. This is optional. If you don't mind
signing up and logging in prior to posting a comment them you can leave
this out of the query.

"internet marketing" tells G that I only want blogs related to internet
marketing. This can be any subject that you choose. If your niche was
astrology then that is what you would put in the place of internet marketing.

TIP#1: If you use FireFox with the SEO4FireFox add on then you will see
which sites on the results page have high PR ratings. This will help you
narrow down the results to only the sites with high PR ratings.

TIP#2: You can change out the .edu in the query above and replace it
with any .com .org .net ... you choose!

I hope that helps you to find places where you can gain high PR
back links to your sites.

All I ask is that you use this info the right way and Please do not go out
and start spamming these sites with BS posts. Make them a long term link
by posting valuable info, questions and such. Think long term investment.

Hope that helps,
Have a Great Day!
Michael

This doesn't work. It returned over 2 million results for one of my domains that is brand new. It's using "domainkeywordshere.com" as "domain keywords here" and returning results as if I just searched for "domain keywords here", although some results for "domainkeywordshere.com" are also displayed. This site has only a handful of links pointing to it.

Another domain of mine returned only 8 results, but a few of them were blogspot domains with the keyword in them.

I'm afraid it didn't work for me either, it just returned a list of sites based on the keywords within my domain name.

Did you try it for multiple sites, or was it an one-off accident?

1. Invest $1. Cut you backlinking by 50%+. Click here. Seduce Google.

Michael Mayo - nice share

Market Guy - sorry, this won't work. You are referring to Google Search Operators. And siite is not one of them. Here is a list for you to refer to -

Google Search Operators - Google Guide

Edit - above link is not my site so no shameless plug here

No, I was talking to the original poster. I should have quoted him, but when I was typing my response no one else had posted, yet.

i do not understand why it's not working for you. when i do
siite:mydomain.com it displays all the sites that have my domain in them at some point, or in other words, all my articles, forum posts etc.
works like a charm for me for all of my sites.

do not type in keywords just siite:urURL.com

no www, no http

i do not know what to tell you. .com worked (all of mine do, as well as .net).
i do not have any .org. maybe that's an issue, although i can not see how.

Marketguy,

Those arent the inlinks, they are the results for that keyword phrase. If you type in any of the operators incorrectly, you will get a list of the results that have the keywords in it. The results will have a lot of the sites that link to you in them, so it would look like it would be the inlinks, but a more accurate way would be to do a linkdomain:mysite.com search over at yahoo...

I just opened up Firefox.
Put in my first site,a dot com.
54 results as it should be.

Put in my dot org,and 39,000 results.
Not right. Its returning all dot orgs with my site url as a keyword.

Went right back to the dot com and got 54 again.
The google gods must love you.I would slap some ppc campaighns up and see if you could make a fortune right now.

let's see if i got that right, if you follow my instruction you get your in-links and have no need to go to yahoo, right. because it works with my sites every time and i get to see my url in all the site descriptions and if the url is in the description, it means they are linking to you.

am i missing something here? please tell me if i am.

try clearing your cache and restarting your browser. that has never happened to me.

just tested it again. no problem for me. first result is my website, all other results are the pages linking to me.

i use firefox, but just tested with IE and i get the same results as i always get (updated, of course).

why does this work for some and not for others?

It's a weird one market guy. I see all the domains with my url in them, well the domain name without the www and .com but although a lot are linking to my site, and I just found some JV partners that I'd have never found had you not posted this, a lot of them are just using my domain keyword in there url Ie....www.theirsite/mydomainkeyword.html they are not actually linking to my site. I know as one is my main competitor and he's just trying to steal traffic off me.
Still I'm happy and I benefitted from so thankyou market guy. That other trick by Michael is great! Thanks too.

it does work for me and others in this thread. i do not care if big G changes their algorithm, since i know about the yahoo way. what i do care about is, why is it working for some and not for others. this question drives me nuts (even more so than i usually am).

no difference here when I type : site:yourdomain.com

each part of it means and why they are needed.

TIP#2: You can change out the .edu in the query above and replace it
with any .com .org .net ... you choose!
this is really good tutorial, saved

thank you

I'm telling you, this is not working like you think it is.

A domain of mine got about 2 million results, which is impossible. I checked the pages returned and most of them had no links to my site at all. I saw maybe three that did, and the rest just had "your domain keywords" in the text somewhere.

Marketguy,

Probably the best typing blunder I've ever seen. I use a lot of different search operators when researching a niche or industry before entering it. let me try again. you do not type keywords. just siite:yourURL.com(or net).

hope this helps

Hi marketguy,

I have always used:

Quote:
site: mydomain.com -site:mydomain.com
Note that there is a space between the colon and the domain name. It seems to work pretty well on Google. However both methods do seem to return results that aren't always backlinks.

-"comments closed" tells G to exclude any results that contain the

this out of the query.

"internet marketing" tells G that I only want blogs related to internet

TIP#2: You can change out the .edu in the query above and replace it
with any .com .org .net ... you choose!

I hope that helps you to find places where you can gain high PR
back links to your sites.

All I ask is that you use this info the right way and Please do not go out
and start spamming these sites with BS posts. Make them a long term link
by posting valuable info, questions and such. Think long term investment.

Hope that helps,
Have a Great Day!
Michael
this's great tips for me. Thank!

am i missing something here? please tell me if i am.
If you are absolutely SURE all of the search returns contain *links* to your site and not just *mentions* of your site (yourdomain.com <---that's not a link!)... then that's not the problem...

You're sure of this, right?

i tried the regular site:mydomain.com and i get all of the indexed pages for my domain.
When you tried the above, did Google suggest spelling? (i.e., Did you mean: site:yourdomain.com)?

the only one it ask me if i meant ...was with sitte. strangely, it asked me if i meant sitte:blah.com, which i typed to begin with.
this is also the only one, that does not give me my backlinks. i missed that earlier. the others work fine and google did not suggest a different spelling.

good point. i get a mix of both. the mentions are my press releases, while the rest are links.

Do you have a quick/easy way to search for dofollow sites?

If so would you mind sharing it?

Thanks
