Hi there, I dont know wether to be happy or worried. I have an old hub I made on hubpages back in march. I didnt have a clue about keyword research back then and found out later on that keyword only generates 56 visitors a month. IT is a long tail kw doh. I had around 20 visits a day to that hub but yesterday i got 279. Analytics shows 271 unique visitors from many countries. Bounce rate of under 80% and avg time on site 0:26 ... so I guess some sort of bot is out of the question. Nothing weird or exciting has happened with the brand and the searches did not come from various parts of the KW. It was exactly that keyword but maybe the words were in another order. X Y Z store locator , store locator for X Y Z, X Y store locator Z .... Any ideas why this would occur ? And let me tell you its veeeery niche. |

Nobody can tell you why it occurred. See if it happens again today, and if it does, ramp up your focus on it.

I ll do that. The wrries part is due to the fact there were a lot of clicks to adsense ( not over the avg ctr though ) and I dont want to have problems there. LEts wait and see. |

Not sure what the answer is here, but I would definately emphasize the importance of finding the source of that traffic and capitalizing on it...

Sometimes you can get a surge of "traffic" from host-tracker.com two months ago one of my sites went from 200 visits a day to 15,000 (all of these extra visits came from host-tracker.com) for about 4 days, then it went back to normal |

Mine are strictly google ( organic ) and a bit of yahoo as well. I thought it was a 1 night fluke...but as the day goes by....more and more new unique visits come around.... Amazing. Will keep you posted if anything new shows up |

I had a site with similar numbers. I ran an article through Stumbleupon, and it sent 300 visitors in one night. Did you promote anything? Mayhbe that did it.
