Transparent Adsense Banners?

Was browsing around and found this site that seemed to have gradients behind the adsense ads. The site also seems to have 6 ads on the one page. They blend amazing, I thought the links were part of the site - first time I've ever been tricked.

Anyone know how to put a gradient behind the ad and make them look like that? Never seen the url underlined as well...

Google has some kind of special contract with hight traffic websites like huffingtonpost.com, so their ad's look similar to content. More clicks means more money

Somewhere between 10-25 million views to apply, don't think i'll be there anytime soon. Must get huge CTR's though

I thought it was against Google TOS to have ads look like links such as menu's. I was under the impression they had to look separate from the site as such. Can be the same color as the site but needs to be visibly different....if that makes sense :S

They are not a normal adsense user. They get special perks
and many ways of doing ads that are not available to us.

One perk I wish they would give us all is to define the keywords
the way this site is allowed. But, alas, not gonna happen.
