|  UAW and Getting Pingbacks Indexed
Hi Everyone I just had a question regarding pingbacks. I have started using Unique Article Wizard(UAW) for some of my wordpress sites. And now I am receiving a lot of pingbacks. I have read some information regarding what to do with these pingbacks to help them get indexed. For example submit them to pingomatic, socially bookmark them etc. I have two questions 1. Is it worthwhile to do these things and will it really help the pingbacks get indexed? 2. Obviously some of the pingbacks are from wordpress blogs with the UAW plugin, wouldn't the post have already been automatically pinged through the wordpress blog? Thanks LR |

LR, I can't believe nobody answer your post... Okay, there are two types of Pingback.. One going out... and the one your receive... Ping is way that two post on the sites links together.. I will only accept 1 or 2 pings from the UAW articles that is closely related to you... too many accept pings, will basically get your link juice leaked out... you have 2 way linking going on, once you accept a ping but, accept 1 or 2 related ping... tells google, your blog is legit.... that's enough... For example: if you get link from articlebase.com, and your blog about Tennis... I won't accept that ping... if your get link from tennisball.com, I would accept that ping... Hey LR, Yes you want to ping, bookmark and submit all your pingbacks to rss feed directories. If your links dont get indexed then it you get no credit for having them out there. Second question - No, your posts get pinged when you post, if you are talking about the settings in general in your wp admin. The pingbacks you are getting are from other sites and may not have been pinged or found. |
