Hi there, I am wondering if you could tell me how much time do you put on a hub ( on average ) AFTER you find the Keyword you wish to target. So you have a keyword and you have to :
In the last case you could say how long it took you to come to #1 for instance. Thanx |

I don't know of too many hubs that are sitting at number one... not in the niches I am in anyway... You can probably get to the top 10 but why would invest so much time into a hub when you can get your own exact keyword domain? I think you would get a much better chance in ranking with that. |

I just want to chime in to express my interest in what delosense asks. My interest is a little broader, though. How much time do you spend on a hub page (and on what sites) to get it to deliver what you want it to--whether that is link juice, traffic, customers, subscribers, etc.

I target certain niches and spend no more than 30 minutes max on each hub. I can usually expect to hit the first page of Google (often in the top 5) within 24 hours for the keyphrases I target. EDIT: I spend 0 time on external backlinks/promotion. |

Hubpages allow you to exploit microniches that are not worth developing complete sites. Hubpages allow you to test affiliate opportunities before you invest in your own site Hubpages allow you to leverage their authority and rank an article fast I'll spend about 15 minutes on keyword research - using a paid keyword tool Then I'll spend anywhere from 10-20 minutes on creating the article Then another half hour or so making sure the title is just right and the keywords are right where I want them and the spelling is correct. Total time approximately an hour. And it's well worth the investment. The people that fail with hubpages are the people who don't understand how to leverage the tools they provide you. If you do your keyword research you can find opportunities you can rank in a matter of days on Googles first page with ZERO SEO effort. Add a little SEO and it's pretty easy to rank in micro niches. 1 hour of time can make you several hundred dollars over the course of a year if you do it right. And that's not bad pay! |

Wolfmii and Internetmarket... : Could you please share what sort of Exact global search your keywords get? This sounds like 10 PR0 and 10 0BLP scenarios, which are not usual when you go over 1000 exact global search.

I generally target phrases with under 500 exact monthly searches and weak competition. However, I am very good with LSI (related keywords) so I also rank for as many as a dozen or so additional versions of my target keyword. I jut received the "1000 Pageviews" accolade and I've only been a member of HubPages for just over 2 weeks. Although I'm only seeing an 8%-10% conversion rate on my Amazon stuff, I assume I'm doing something right |

In my experience, by throwing a few backlinks at a hub or seo'ing it well you can rank pretty nicely and knock out most of the others on there. I usually use hubpages to test out niches and keywords to see how they rank off the bat before I do any other work on them. t | |
