Lightbulb Pros and Cons EzineArticles Account

Hi,

I'd like to promote my site via EzineArticles. I'd like to outsource all my work, from writing articles to submission to EZA.

As I see it, there are 2 ways I can go about it. I can have an article writing service write the articles and submit them to their EZA Platinum account. Or I can create an EZA account and have them submit the articles through my account. Hopefully EZA will eventually appove my account to the Platinum status.

But I can't decide which way to go as I'm totally new in using articles to promote sites. I need inputs from you wise folks out there so I can arrive at a sensible decision.

Here are my questions:

1) Which way is better, use article writing service's Platinum Account or my account? What are the Pros and Cons?

2) What is a Platinum EZA account vs a regular EZA account ?

3) What does it generally take for a new EZA account to become a Platinum EZA account?

Thanks,

Jack

(1) Get your own Ezine Article platinum account. If the account of the outsourcing company were to be used, they can very easily change the content and backlinks at a later date.
The only con is that it takes 10 articles for the account to become upgraded to platinum account. But with articles that read well and are not plagerised in any way, the account will get upgraded.

(2) With platinum membership, you can submit unlimited number of articles. Also articles get approved or disapproved at a faster rate.

(3) 10 decent articles will result in platinum membership. Its no big deal really, if you are paying some professional company to do the writing, it should be straight forward.

Most of questions you are asking can be found on directly EZA website available for the world to see.

Here About EzineArticles.com - Official Overview of What EzineArticles.com Can Do For You: and EzineArticles Member Signup - New Free Membership Account Creation and here Why Should You Submit Your Articles To The High-Traffic EzineArticles.com Expert Author Community? Read On To Find Out Why: and here EzineArticles.com Terms of Service for Authors

In terms of using someone else's EZA account versus using your own, that's like coming on the WF and asking, "Should I rent a Timeshare or buy one? Hmmm, you tell us!

The takeaway here is this; if you don't read EZA TOS, there is a great chance that you will violate it. By reading it, you KNOW the answers to the questions you just asked without a doubt because you got them directly from the horses mouth.

There are site owners who hire writers to create and submit articles to an existing platinum account. Going "platinum" is not always easy and not guaranteed. A reputable article writer will submit the article using a pen name created on the writer's account for that particular customer's articles.

It is not unusual and not against EZA terms.

But - nothing wrong with creating your own account as long as you understand the time to approval will be longer. It's a choice you have to make - but first read and understand the TOS at EZA.

There are some great answers on here, but don't just limit yourself to EZA. There are lots of good article directories out there, so don't put all of your eggs in one basket.

1) Which way is better, use article writing service's Platinum Account or my account? What are the Pros and Cons?
Assuming you have an existing Platinum account, I recommend that you use it. Any reliable service provider will know not to meddle with customers' articles once they are published. However, to rule out any unforeseen eventualities, you can choose to go with your own account.

2) What is a Platinum EZA account vs a regular EZA account ?
@Inter123 answered this well. I would like to point out that 'Platinum' accounts are accounts with Platinum 'status'. This status can be reverted back to a 'Basic Plus' status in the future if you have many articles under 'Problem' or 'Review' status. This will affect the number of articles you can submit at a time.

Now there could be many reasons beyond obvious ones why these articles can end up in the 'Problem Status' queue. Some of the surprises we see from time to time: 'Broken links', 'Relevant content not found on landing page', etc can cost us the account status and majorly affect the rate at which these articles get approved.

So if you are planning to write the articles yourself, you want to keep this in mind and ensure the quality of the articles is not compromised at any time.

3) What does it generally take for a new EZA account to become a Platinum EZA account?
Most times 10 decent quality articles and sometimes 6. There are also times when it takes more than 10. We typically write reminders to the support team asking for the upgrade. They have an excellent support team and they respond to Premium (not Platinum) accounts much faster than the regular accounts.

You forgot the best perk of all. A free coffee mug!!!!

Been a while since I used EZA. I was a writing fool. Got the mug in
the mail and thought EZA was the $h!$$! Then the effectiveness
seemed to be wearing off. I no longer use it. And I cut down on
coffee. That mug is super-sized.

I took advice from this forum and started building my own authority
sites. EZA for me had diminishing returns.

Create an account of your own. 10-15 live articles will make your account become a platinum member. Make sure your content has 100% originality.

I don't think it is correct to say 10 articles will get you Platinum status.

Platinum status is usually not guaranteed or given. The main difference between Basic Plus and Platinum is a slightly faster approval time. I have been Basic Plus for a long time, and recently EZA just gave me another 25 credits for Basic Plus, after I qualified for an upgrade - twice.

Even though I have had only 2 articles in Problem queue - Ever...And I've been a member for years.

Like Paulgl above, I don't really care either way, because I don't use EZA much. It's just an article directory to me.....one out of many, and I don't have much intention of being one of the hundreds of thousands helping to build their site up for them either....
