Complicated question about backlinking

First of all I would like to thank all of my fellow marketer in the forums that even though there are lots of questions that keeps on coming they are still giving good answers(some are irritated because it is already available on the forums) but still giving good advices... For that I salute all of you guys and thank you!

Ok so here it goes. Currently I am creating a Monthly Checklist for my project by week 1 of september and I encountered few questions that I am having problems finding here in the forums. just a heads up this is a affiliate site with 200k+ competition that's why I need every resource I can get.

1. About Social Bookmarking(got the top 20 only bookmarking sites)
a. Bookmarking your site is good, how about bookmarking your every post?
- On my checklist I will be posting articles in my "Mainpage" every 3 days.

***So is it "ADVISABLE" to get 20 BOOKmark every post in the mainpage?
(I know that DIGG will ban your URL if you keep this up but how about the other Bookmarkingsites? is this advisable? Do some of you do this?)***

b. Is this how bookmark works??
***- 1 article submitted to EZinearticle > put 20 bookmarks (then ping it) > then put 20 bookmarks for EACH of the bookmarks for the article(another 100 in total bookmarks). Is this how it will give you great results? or can I remove the last part of bookmarking??***

2. XML sitemaps(Wordpress plug-in) vs Google webmaster.

a. Which is more efficient on this 2?
b. XML sitemaps automatically creates and submits your sitemaps right? If so Will I need to submit "THE same sitemap" in google webmaster tools???

3. What tool can I use to track backlinks aside from alexa???

4. Sending the same article to this site (daily) 1 different article per day.
ArticleCity, ArticlesBase, Buzzle, EzineArticles, ActiveAuthors, ArticleAlley, ArticleDashboard, ArticleSnatch, ArticleTrader, OutOfStress, SearchWarp, Site-Reference, SooperArticles, WebProNews, EZineArticles.com , GoArticles.com, ArticleDashboard.com, ArticleAlley.com, iSnare.com. Then bookmarking them.

Is that considered a spam???

1. Don't bookmark every single post on the same websites (especially the top ones). You'll quickly get marked as a spammer. As far as bookmarking your bookmarks, I don't personally see the point in it. One of the biggest reasons you should be doing social bookmarking is for backlinks. And backlinks to backlinks don't count as backlinks to your main page. How many more times can I stuff "backlinks" into a sentence?

3. I like SeoQuake. Turn it on, go to the webpage, and it brings up a bar with lots of info about the site you're on.

Thanks for the tips eloriagod, I got few unanswered questions left and I will still add one more.

For article marketing I will be putting some efforts in this. I hired an expert to submit 1 article daily to 20 article sites daily. Is it good or advisable to put the link on the article itself? for better and more backlinks?

Back links with anchor text should come from different websites to make a ranking impact.

SOme says that More directories more backlinks and more backlinks in a directory is much more backlinks right???

p.s.Where can I get a list of article directories guys?

I feel that it depends how the webmasters run their sites. Some of these bookmarking site webmasters may remove you for linking to every page. Others won't mind. Only way to figure that out is try
