I would take a punt on it maybe if my competitions Kung-Fu was not strong, and it had that many people searching for it.

sounds like a very good niche but here are two things you need to know. First map out your goal and second always diversify, dont just focus on this one site you need to always work with different niches if you want to always succeed. Good Luck!

I would recommend to discontinue the search for gold.

Why? Simply because of the lack of domains. If you are going to utilise SEO in full, you will need some form of your keyword attachment to your domain name.

Also with that many searches a month you will want to target the entire audience rather than a few. A .info will never have the same "international presence" as a .com or even .net
