Hi Everyone, Forgive me for what I think is a bit of newbie question, but can anyone tell me what the prefered option is for a web 2.0 site that will link back to my main site? I'm thinking of creating a Hub Pages site, and then building links to it to boost it's profile, but If I have to focus my effort on anything is HP likely to be best? I know Squidoo used to be popular, and Ezine articles but Squidoo seems to have disappeared lately. Thanks in advance Jay |

Ha... I know that hubpages is still working for my competiton! I've been trying to knock out a site for about three months AND I have the exact domain name match. It definitely requires a little more "oomph" then other web 2.0 properties!

Hubpages doesnt work at all.For backlinking purposes it is useless. For making money it is also useless.I have been a member for 2 years and the amount of money is very small.I make a lot with clickbank and my own site. All I do is find a clickbank product, make a review and build links to it.thats it first page and you make 4 figures.Make sure you offer bonuses |

@Joshgreen If you dont use sites like Hubpages for building the backlinks what would you recommend - profile backlinks instead? |

For me, hubpages works fairly well; but then again, I enjoy creating content. So I do not try to rush through every article I write ensuring there is no visitor appeal. As a result, I receive decent traffic and a fair amount of adsense clicks; not to mention the back links. Nothing like back links to your money making sites also making money. | |

Hub Pages is great for linking from. Try your best not to make it too on topic or it will outrank your site in the serps. It's great to link from though those links are very powerful.

So much missinformation I cant stand it. Hubpages not getting indexed ? I have over 200 hubs and 99%+ are indexed. KEyword research is KEY. Find a good KW with low comp/high search volume. Create a 500 word unique article...make a good hub ( with relevant capsules ) and you will get indexed in under 24 hours. I got my hub indexed in less than 1 hour sitting on the #3 spot on google for a 8100 exact global search count KW. I am getting a decent 40-50 unique visitors to that hub alone and it has not been up for more than 14 days. The clicks are healthy and the CTR is not bad. I have made many microniche sites the "x-factor" way with the big block up top etc etc but they required TONS of backlinking and a lot of time and still did not produce. As I said before Keyword research is the KEY. Hubpages is OK in my book. |
