Hello dear warriors , I am sorry for this VERY basic question , but it made me confused . I am going to start a specific niche site using wordpress ... But My question is about keyword How Can I make a certain keyword to be my site keyword ? And how this keyword may be changed later ? Also How many keywords should I put for my site ? Is it the more the better ? I see keyword software which comes with hundreds or even thousands of keywords and didn't know how to deal with these keywords if I am limited by certain number of keywords Thank you in advance |

To start with you can use google keyword tool.search for those keywords which are moderately competitive...and also have one or two less competitive keywords.Target one page with maximum 3 keywords. You can go for as many keywords as you want but my suggestion is start slowly....go for the home page first, targeting three keywords.

Ok I'll have a go. Keywords are the way that a search engine can tell whether your site is relevant to what a searcher is searching for. The apparent difference in advice by saying you should only do a few keywords or you can do as many as you want is in the context. In the context of a single page I think you should have ONE main keyword and a few secondary keywords. Then to target a lot of keywords you just have a lot of pages, where each of those pages has ONE main keyword and several secondary keywords and they are all generally related to your main topic. Put it in the headings Use it for links to your site. Hope this is enough to get you started Cheers Alan

And when publishing content, aritcles et al, or trying to get back links, use the keyword you choose as anchor text in a hyper link to link back to your site...

As I have told you before you can go with as many keywords as you can but make sure you target only 3 keywords per web page.Too many keywords is not dangerous for your site as long as your site contains the information for which you want to rank well in Google.

For your keyword analysis, you can use Google Adwords.
