What Matt says is as much fact as Al Gore inventing the internet.

Maybe because he works for Google and knows more than you and I combined when it comes to the inside workings of Google. What he says is about as close to fact as you will get unless you shrink yourself and jump into Googles databases

I think what Tom is getting at is that while Matt certainly knows a lot, that doesn't mean it's in his interest to give people the answers they actually want

Well then Matt should be fired for mismanaging the co's resources. He obviously cant get the algorithm's actual results to match 60% of his natterings.

When spammy profile links no longer propel pages in even tough niches to the top of the serps, and when they stop indexing bopatloads of duplicate content and ranking it and when truly ... quality content makes a difference, then Matt can be believed

Ohhh and when crappy pages with nothing more than a product sku and short description and a buy it now button from Overstock, Walmart, and Target STOP outranking 1500 word articles - keyword optimized and written by english majors from ivy league schools ... then google can be seen than something other than a TOOL of their shareholders equity.

I said that what he SAYS is not fact. They are the master manipulators.
