Default Using spyfu to estimate adsense keyword payouts?

Does anyone have a specific formula they use with spyfu to determine if a keyword is worth ranking for or not? I heard a while back that if you take HALF of the lower number in the "cost per click" of the keyword, you can expect this to be your average pay per click through adsense. For example if spyfu shows 0.70-2.00 per click, you might expect 0.35 cent clicks? Is this formula accurate at all? What do you guys base your decisions on when using spyfu to choose keywords to spend time ranking for? I'd really like to know before i start choosing keywords to rank for on google. Or in general, what are the right numbers to look for on spyfu all around, including number of advertisers, cpc, ect>?
