Google sites- Good for backlink building, link wheel and etc?

Anybody using Google sites to build backlinks or any other seo related things? Whats your experience with Google sites/ Does it carry any weight if used to build backlinks?

Google sites is not used for building backlinks. Period.

Nothing special about Google sites like Squidoo/Hubpages etc.

Google sites is not a suitable place for making backlinks. You can use other sites to make backlinks for your website. For example web 2.0 websites, article directories, social bookmarks, blog post and other ways that you can find on this forum.

I have never done this because I would never suppose this to be something worth the time spent. as someone else has pointed out, use web 2.0 properties for link wheels. And use article irectories for that kind of backlinks.

Thank you all for our help. I do actually use article directories and web 2.0 sites to build backlinks. I was juts curies about Google sites and wanted to know if anyone had any experience using them. Thank you guys.
